I am with you on this. I am going to keep going but it might not happen.

LOL.
I am imagining C&M surrounded by a mountain of parcels. I hope they snap a pic and post it.

I've been following this thread and wondering if those folks that live farther away could send an electronic version of their entry but also send the original by mail? That way, if the snail mail was too slow and did not make it in time, Marina would still have a version of their entry. Is this crazy?

I've been thinking of this as well... I mean, if the lady at the post office is to be trusted, my entry will be in Canada within a week. But I do know that I will be terribly, terribly upset if I find out it didn't get to Marina in time!

Ah well, it will also depend on when I finish it. I've just experienced a major drawback... My scanner, which I will need to put my entry together, has broken down and it might be a week before I get it back. I'm very much determined to finish my entry, though!

Well, I've finished the pressie and will post off tomorrow! From then on it will be in the hands of the Australia Post Gods (if it gets delivered to your place, please forward to Marina)
But, my main reason is to show you all what my daughter made. She is 9 and thought of this herself. I am soooo proud of her. She was intent on sending something to Marina for her birthday, and she made this all by herself. I hope you don't mind me showing you all!

Lily sewing the pressie.

I really hope I haven't done something wrong by showing these, but I'm so proud of what she made!

Bella, I'm going to mark mine 'gift' and 'no monetary value' that way they can't put a tax on it. I know this works from OZ, but maybe it will work from where you live?

Edit: Sorry Bella, I just realised you have already sent it (horribly embarassed :0()

Jayne - You know I think Lily is a rockstar and I'm convinced she'll win.

Maybe we'll start a gallery thread to showcase the work a bit later, (I'm not sure how Chad and Marina are plannin to do things on their end)

right now I'm sure everyone's still guarded about their projects till the deadline - which is great, it'll be a lovely suprise to see what everyone's done after march 13th.
(plus, it puts less pressure on the people still working away, less competetiveness - for example, after seeing Lily's entry I'm starting to sweat a little.. that girl is GOOD!! )

My goodness--Lily is awesome, her little creation is wonderful! Give her a big congratulations and give that little girl an Etsy shop--she can start her own ED fund, and I will be her first customer. Couldn't you just see a Christmas tree hung with little ED, or a huggable little ED angel to cuddle up with?

edited to add--I jsut saw your Etsy shop Jane, wonderful little bears, I love them!
