What's this?!... Marina's latest doll is expecting! ...a little porcelain bundle of joy

It's great that Marina is exploring different ideas in her work.

I love it. Especially mixed with her emotion. I said it on her blog but I'll say it here: holy smokes that girl has gotten DAMN GOOD at painting those faces. So much emotion, and everything is so soft and natural, I'm in love with her lips!

I look forward to seeing the other two in the tryptych, it sounds like a very interesting and conceptual project. I love marina's take on things, and her fiery attitude, love it!!

I really like that she is using her dolls to make political statements especially for woman. Maybe some real good can come from it.

That ED looks so utterly terrified. I agree with Jinky, I just want to hug her and tell her it's alright.

I had a feeling a pregnant ED may become a reality sooner or later. After the Vessel, it seemed to me to be the next step. I definitely wouldn't mind owning a pregnant ED. Hehe

She's BEAUTIFUL. For me, one of the greatest things about EDs is you can look at them and they seem to have some type of emotion that seems so real, like you can identify with them. This doll especially, I can just look at her and understand exactly what she's feeling. I love love love love love her. Her FACE. Just, oh my god.

she really is different! when i look at her i get this weird feeling thinking of how she will forever be pregnant, because of the way a doll is a capture of a moment in time, and especially because i look at ED's as eternal.

i think the belly is done so well and i love her face painting, you can really see that Marina is getting better with each doll.
i also love her curly hair!
her expression is really terrified, i makes you want to hug her.

GUYs , as i said on Marina blogs one of my desire was to see a pregnant Ed's and this morning when i see the doll i feel so emotional and happy, it was a good things to start the day.

Pregnancy is kind of creepy and seeing it on a doll gives me the shivers. In a good way. I want to look at the doll and at the same time not. I have split views about her. *sighs* I am so intrigued and... something else.

noxy ~ I am sorry about your dog. *hugs* I know how you feel. I had a dog too that I loved very much that were put down a few years ago. I hope you will be feeling better soon.
